Keith brings with him more than eight years of experience as Production Manager at Paramount Timber, where he was responsible for trusses, joists, and panels across a range of specialist and new build projects. During his time there, he grew the team from 12 to 32 staff, managed complex site logistics, and helped deliver bespoke timber solutions to housebuilders and contractors across the region. His appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for the Kent business, which has built a reputation over the decades for quality, consistency, and a close-knit team culture. Keith said: “Chris leaves behind a fantastic legacy, and I feel fortunate to be joining a company with such strong foundations. Chris joined the company in 1988 as senior truss designer, before taking on the role of general manager in the early 1990s. A doctor of timber engineering, Chris quietly brought academic expertise, technical precision and approachable leadership to one of the South East’s leading structural timber manufacturing businesses. Under his guidance, the Canterbury-based site continued to deliver quality, reliability and innovation to housebuilders across the region. Chris was equally known for his human qualities: calm under pressure, quietly authoritative and deeply respected by the long-serving team he built around him. Many of his colleagues have worked alongside him for over 30 years, a testament to the workplace culture he shaped. Reflecting on his time at Dover Trussed Roof Company, Chris said: “I never expected to be here this long, but there’s something about the place that keeps people here. It’s a combination of the peaceful surroundings, the great people, and the constantly evolving technical challenges.
